Rory Beerits
Rory Beerits has developed a sculptural style that blends traditional metalworking and found object assembly to explore the spiritual power of the natural world. Using everyday materials from our anthropocentric era, he reimagines discarded objects into powerful animal icons. His process is ritualistic, deeply considering animal anatomy and carefully selecting materials from junkyards, street corners, and fellow upcyclers. Scythes become wings, colanders transform into scales, and wrenches shift into pincers. These creatures, poised between the recognizable and the otherworldly, evoke transformation and touch upon the sacred space where instinct and intuition intersect. Beerits invites reflection on personal metamorphosis.

Tara Sellios
Tara Sellios is an artist whose work explores the intersection of life’s fragility, instinctive nature, and mortality. Focusing on the carnal and ephemeral aspects of existence, her still life photography reflects themes of beauty, seduction, and morbidity. Drawing inspiration from vanitas painters and religious altarpieces, Sellios creates meticulously planned and detailed images using an 8x10 view camera. Her process is deeply hands-on, involving watercolor sketches, sculptural arrangements, and the use of real organic materials like insects and animal skeletons. Each piece captures the tension between life’s temporary nature and its undeniable vitality, with large-scale prints that evoke the grandeur of painting.
